Welcome to our little mountain town. What part of the photo stands out for you? The city street? The businesses? The hill in the background? The snow covered trees?

For me, I see the street as living in the shadow of the mountain. The volcano. I love running on Mt Tabor because I feel, or like to think I can, the power of the geologic forces inside. The amount of snowfall and the way the wind blows on those homes and businesses is affected by the hillside. Its similar to the way a surfer knows that the reef below affects the waves.
