Winter Food
After the abundance of summer fruits and vegetables are gone, how does one survive the winter? Survive, while maximizing what i call a natural way to live with the earth. That means a minimum of electricity usage, external heating/cooling, and refrigeration.
Grains are dry so they are easy to store in containers, need no refrigeration, and last all winter. So I've got containers of rice, lentils, quinoa to be the base of a lunch/dinner, and granola for breakfast. Notice the mustard and bread below, which do fine with no refrigeration.
