the marina i want to live at is called Harbor One. i called about slips today. Its $205/month to stay there but they are completely full with a waiting list. drat. its located next to PDX which is just where I'd like to be, but you also have to put up with listening to the jet noise all the time.

the boat would need some new livability items like a stove and a heater. a propane tank would have to be mounted somewhere out of the way. probably in the engine compartment. the gas engine and gas tank are off the boat (yea) and two electric motors and a car battery are in. the question is are they powerful enough and how much battery storage is needed. initial testing in the slip was encouraging with both motors going.
