computer/machine war

"The first unmanned attack squadron in aviation history will arrive in Iraq today looking to deliver 500-pound bombs and Hellfire missiles to the enemy - all from the comfort of a US Air Force base in Nevada." from here.

What do you fight a machine with? Another machine. Its curious that wars will become machine vs machine. Until your machines loose that is, then its their machines against you? Maybe we could agree that once your machines lost, you lost the war and that its bad form for the other guy to use their machines against people.  unfortunately,  this group does fire on humans.

Soldiers sitting in chairs at computer terminals in air conditioned buildings inside their own territory remotely piloting drones. id focus on the communication link - what does a predator do when it cant talk to home base? fly in a straight line? that isn't going to last very long.

Obligator Terminator quote: "In three years, Cyberdyne will become the largest supplier of military computer systems. All stealth bombers are upgraded with Cyberdyne computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they fly with a perfect operational record. The Skynet funding bill is passed. The system goes on-line on August 4th, 1997. Human decisions are removed from strategic defense. Skynet begins to learn, at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 am, eastern time, August 29th. In a panic, they try to pull the plug. Skynet fights back!

3 billion human lives ended on July 17, 2007. The survivors of the nuclear fire called the war Judgment Day. They lived only to face a new nightmare: the war against the machines."
