another project idea to work on post-august is a distributed physics engine. something to build a new and different MMO game with.

• a distributed protocol to communicate change information between participants
• physical world simulation: objects, forces
• visualization/human interface - game client see Solipsis

World of Warcraft is a modern marvel. Second Life has the right ideas about user-created content and a real economy. Just down the road from where i live is a huge Electronic Arts building. I wonder what kind of development goes on in there.

The entropia universe game, which i havent played, has interesting headline news on that page. I look forward to playing Lord of the Rings online.
