last night was noisier than i had hoped but for reasons i wouldn't have guessed. the little refrigerator is the #1 noise maker. #2 is a particular kind of bird with very annoying whoop. the noise from the street wasn't bad.

today i'll be looking around for a decent grocery store and also buying some clothes. in the photo you can see the hotel. i'm on the first floor so its 30 feet to the door and 150 feet to the beach.
