if you accept ideas as possessions, then learning new things can reveal all kinds of infinity. Its this feeling of abundance that satisfies the need for possessing.

i thought about this just now because the cafe is playing Amazing Grace, and there is a line in there about the abundance of time. "We've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun." I happen to find it useful to believe that my consciousness will exist forever, and I find joy in a reminder that a) time is infinite, and b) all things change with time.
