Im giving the old linux desktop apps a look-see again. My laptop runs ubuntu and Ive upgraded to the Edgy Eft, which has its official release on Thursday. tomboy, the postit note/wiki thingy, is fun. f-spot the photo manager looks useful.

Ive been using skype lately from my home windows box. Its awesome to talk to Jennifer in Chicago for free on a connection that sounds better than a cell phone. The skype client for linux looks like its just as featureful.
