in my twenties i took a sailing class. at one point i thought i wanted to live on a sailboat. i eventually changed my mind. too small. no money to buy  a boat outright.

for some reason the sailing bug is back in my head. there are stories on line about round-the-world trips, etc. it sounds like something i could do. im technically and mechanically adept and im used to be disconnected from society, in a manner of speaking. i mentioned it to Jennifer but sailing a small boat on the ocean seemed to freak her out.
