the complexity of the site has gone beyond what i originally envisioned.

today i realized that the IP addresses were a resource that needs to be modeled and managed. Slices have_many ip addresses.

Disk space in GB is not detailed enough. the partition needs to be identified in a way that can be mapped to a physical partition on a disk. the first thing to do on rev 2.0 is move everything over to LVM.
