google base is now launched. googl'ing for stuff thats not on the web doesnt seem that useful. i want to use google base as a database, with an API. they seem to have an API for uploads but im not sure about an API for seaches and search results.

I want to see ActiveRecord::ConnectionAdapters::GoogleBase. Which I think is google's thinking. Use us to store your non-webpage data and we'll index that too as long as you dont mind us presenting the data as a web result with adsense ads on it. thats fine as long as i have programatic access to the same data.
