Katrina hit home for me today. Finally have some time to read the many reports including interdictor's blog Ive got a bit more understanding of the chaos and suffering thats going on.

Even closer to home is the fact that dje is leaving in a couple days to be a part of the red cross volunteer effort in the hurricane area for the next three weeks. It took me by suprize. Its an awesome adventure, i hope, and i will miss him while he's gone.

Reading and looking at the media reports, along with more stress at work and with my dad, has made this a depressing evening. i've been feeling very alone and a bit scared.
