moral dilemas

i would call a moral dilema a conflict of two or more beliefs. For instance, in deal making, how far does my responsibility reach in protecting the other side's values?

some would say not at all. it is up to each side of the deal to decide what is good for themselves. Does a drug dealer have a responsibility to cut off an addict? The OLCC says a bartender has the responsibilty to cut off visibily intoxicated people.

Im talking about licorice. I love black licorice. I was at a certain store that shall remain unnamed. Now I know that a movie-theater-type box of licorice goes for about $1.25, but I found a chain convienence store that has no price tags. The employees only know to charge what the register says it costs. I even asked an employee once what the price of XYZ was and she was completely flustered by the question but finally managed to say shes could scan it for me if i really wanted to know. Anyhow the licorice boxes come up as $0.50. I am 99.99% sure that is a misprice and Im getting it at 40% of what its normally sold for. Am I stealing by accepting this price? The store has the right to offer what ever price they like and I can take it or leave it. Yet I feel confident that if humans were involved who actually knew what was going on, they would fix this price.

looking at this particular situation and the people involved, ive decided that its not my responsibility to make sure this company was getting the best deal available. bring on the cheap licorice!
