Bring It On Spammers!!!!

its 2003 and my spam to legitimate email ratio is 10 to 1. It takes me 2 minutes to go through each mail subject and pick out the spam just to find i had one legitimate email

i dont like heuristic spam filters or blackhole lists. i like the idea of a whilelist with a manual opt-in system. i tried a preexisting package 6 months ago or so but it was too complicated. so im adding the feature to my "pea" perl script that has been in my procmail script for years.

one friend has said in the past that they refuse to respond to an automatic email because it puts burden on the legitimate email senders. Until yahoo rolls out its sender authentication solution or sender permitted from gets widespread adoption, I'm willing to add a few people to the whitelist by hand.

Whats really funny is to get new spam in your inbox while developing antispam software. Its instant motivation to keep going.
