I hope I've written about this before so I dont seem like a bandwagon jumper-on-er. Personal Telco's Destiny, I believe, is to promote the idea of a customer owned utility.

Lawrence Lessig, a well respected lawyer and champion of freedom in technology and policy cases, has written with similar sentiment recently:

I wasnt going to write anything but i saw it mentioned again on slashdot and they introduced a new term "'end-user-as owner' (EUO)" which I like the sound of.

its got some great bits, but also some analogies are just plain wrong. i have homework to do, so maybe i'll post more on this latter. hopefully i'll be able t writing something worthwhile and mail it to lessig.
