i have two CS classes. I took the midterm for one class today, and I have a midterm in the second class on Wednesday. Both classes are structured exactly the same, grade-wise. 33% homework, 33% midterm, and 33% final. Ive done half of the homework for the course and now Ive finished one midterm. My homework in both classes are just above 80%. For grad-level classes you have to get an A or a B or the class doesnt count!

Today's test was important to me. Its possible that school will become a significant part of my life. Im using these classes as a make or break indicator. I feel that if I struggle in these classes, grad school is not where I should be. But instead Im doing well. Im not getting As but Im putting a lot of effort in and Im doing well. So after today's test I felt really good because I'm fairly certain I got a B or better on the exam. My attention-defecit approach to most things certainly shows up in studying and tests - I believe I was the first one finished out of a class of 25 or so students! Usually thats a bad thing. I race through answers and make dumb mistakes. But today I felt I gave a solid answer to almost every question. Yea me.
