i missed a halloween party with my friends tonight, and i feel very bad about it. Its been part of a trend for the last couple months. Most due to money, i cant go out to eat or drink or fix my car. Times like these with friends are very important. I couldn't go because i had no way to get there and it was too cold to bike or even walk. im coughing at night so I didnt want to get sicker. So instead I stayed home and sat in front of the computer as usual.

i could have got a one-way ride there, which made it even harder to decide what's right. It still meant at least 45 minutes of walking in this cold-snap weather. I think I did the right thing, but it still really sucks.

A small town was being washed away by a flood. A man was forced up to the rooftop of his house, watching the river level rise higher and higher. Someone in a canoe came by and said "get in with me and you'll be safe." "no, im waiting for god to save me.". Later, someone in a boat came by and said "I'll save you, hold on." "No thanks im waiting for god to save me." the man replied. As the house was almost under water a helicopter came by andd a voice on a megaphone said "we're lowering a rope". The man waved them off and the helicopter left. The man drowned and when he was in heaven he asked god "why didn't you try to save me?". God replied "What do you mean? I sent you a canoe, a boat, and a helicopter!"
