The List.

What is "The List"? Its what I should be doing. Its my guide to help me achieve my goals. Its my medium-term to-do list. On the scale of 1 month to 2 years.

Beehive Games - write the next game, for devices like the Clie UX-50
a 3d world based on physics. completely. everything
is made of a basic unit (i call it a
pebble). everything that exists in the world is made
of pebbles, with gravity, a "sticky force", and some
hack for light. The game will be a mario-world
cartoonish-looking "world building" game. allow a
                mulitplayer element (bluetooth) if possible.

Daily Wireless - Change the front page look to minimize the impact of
the lead banner ad. Have historical articles
presented by topic. Add much more benefit to user
                 registration.

Personal Telco - Continute with the rocky butte hub. Add IPv6, get
my own antenna mounted. Add a login management system
to the nodes - PAM with mysql backing probably. Get
                 nocat logging remotely to bone.

Portland State U. - Start master's degree classes. Study
                    scalable/distributed data structures. eg Skipnet,
                    Bit torrent, Google filesystem

Suburb site - Create a website that creates community amongst
resitdents on the same street or in the same neighborhood.

AP Radar - UI improvements to put more info about the local
network interface. display default gateway. ping default
gateway and display latest round trip time. display IP as
           IP/netmask-length.

Less serious project ideas
Vida Cafe City - buy oregon desert land off ebay. Build a city/nerd
mecca. They will come. Emphasis on renewable power resources. It costs
nothing to live there but you must be invited.

Yard robot - a soekris plus harddrive plus R/C car battery packs plus
electric motors plus wheels plus a grass-cutting blade. This thing
"lives" in your yard. It had a little doghouse to return home to for
protection from the weather and recharging. It constantly roams the
yard, keeping it in a continuous state of mowed.

e-Trike - bulid a recumbent trike. Fly-by-wire. Not pedal
powered. Propane/Steam engine or something. A full enclosure with an
LCD display/keyboard in view of the driver.
