last weekend I spent Saturday around the house. I kept trying to do something useful but I kept getting sucked into reading slashdot while eating hershey's chocolate bars. Walgreens on 39nd and Belmont had a sale for the largest size hershey bars come in, for $0.99. I stopped and went inside. I came out with two huge bars. I love chocolate.

Sunday K and I went over to Aaron and Edie's place to go to the beach. We went to Rockaway beach, which is a childhood favorite of mine. We were supposed to meet Darrin and Alina who were already at the beach, but Darrin was called back to town on a work issue. It was warm but a bit breezy and overcast. We played frisbee and splashed around in the waves. We had a lot of food with us. A and E are always prepared with ingredients to make something yummy. I brought pre-made food like macaroni and cheese. We walked along the main strip. I was looking for information about the bumper cars that I used to ride at rockaway. I ended up buying a newspaper that talks about the history of the town from when the first homesteaders arrived.

The tide came in fast!
