my apologies if my blog is starting to read like a news site.

Dr Dobbs has a C++ compiler article (i dont know why they send my dr dobbs issues). It tested 9 modern C++ compilers. The results were that gcc was the most robust but produced the SLOWEST code. My whole linux system is built with gcc. It also shows that Intel's C++ compiler is once again the compiler that produces the fastest x86 code out of all the competitors. I wonder if someone has built a linux distro with that compiler.
