geek idea: build my own local super-search app. i was just looking for info on a product - dlink's dcs-900. i went to price watch, i went to google, then i went to amazon. it'd be nice to have a local search app that queried all these places and more. sometimes google isnt enough.

sweet! the DCS-900 is something Ive had in the back of my mind for most of the summer. a cheap ethernet based camera. Its $115 (still not super-cheap) and shipping next month. i would like to have a couple inside the house to make DonCam useful again, and a couple outside the house to have video logs of prowlers, tee-pee'ers, or just the local squirrel population.
