im so lost. i keep bouncing between ideas all the while im running out of money to live on. im looking into the geographic location extension to the jabber protocol. I talked to the developer of the jabberd 2.0 open source jabber server at OSCON last week. its for project F. is it important to spend time on this? i need to grok the jabber protocol, then the extension needs to be reengineered. it'd be cool to have my name on a JEP.

i have yet to do job website hunting today, but i'll put some time into that. plus there is spazmo. ive been writing good notes into my notebook. using pen and paper can be so much more productive than a laptop.

last night i poked around the website of U of Hawaii. Sometimes I feel burnt out on comp sci. Do i really want to get even deeper into a life of CS? yeah probably. id be so much happier working with a team of 30something hackers. i feel like im working on my own almost all the time.

I had a good talk with Kristina in the south park blocks yesterday. I sure like that girl. She fills a pretty big space in my life.
