like the USS Ronald

nuclear carriers like the USS Ronald Regan are pretty incredible. "The carriers' endurance -- their (nuclear) reactors run for 20-plus years without refueling -- and their flexibility are the real keys to their value,..." A power source that (practically) never needs refueling? that sounds too good to be true. Too bad it produces waste that turns the earth into a toxic wasteland. I actually think its a fair idea to dispose of nuclear waste by launching it into the sun.

"The huge $5 billion warship, being readied for its commissioning Saturday at the Norfolk Naval Station, is the product of a long struggle." budget struggles and workforce strikes. This week Colin Powell was quoted as saying the pentagon is spending $3.something billion per month on the troops in iraq. thats a new carrier every 2 months.
