i went to the interview today. i always assume that just about anyone reads this journal so i cant name the place yet. i will say its a newspaper. i did particularly well, i thought. coming out of it i felt really good, like i pulled off the management of an image. it was the editor, the ONLY IT guy, and the ONLY WEB guy. Im interviewing to be the web guy. its amazing they get by with paying them very little and having only one position each. During the main part of the interview with all three people, i was motivated yet mature, gutsy yet reverent. i was engaging in the conversation. i had answers and a couple questions of my own (although not many and not that varied). we went through my resume and i told them how i wanted to move them from a proprietary platform to a java one. i topped it all off with just a dash of arrogance. it was good to see my old college computer lab coworker and made the interview much more comfortable. they said they need at least a week to decide and had interviewed one other person.
on another note, ive learned from K about something you can order at a coffeeshop that isnt caffinated or expensive. a steamer. its just steamed milk with a syrup flavoring. i like vanilla. im at the world cup coffee which has good free wifi and a quiet atmosphere. they have a good bar to sit at that goes around the shop so you get lots of sunlight. im going with darrin to meet aaron J. at the tugboat. i feel like celebrating. i also have an important doctor's appt tomorrow.
the international space station is no longer in view.
