this is my last night in ko samui. ive been on the beach the last couple days, hanging out with T&R. Last night I went to the 'black moon party'. there was a lot of colored lights, lighting up a secluded beach. Speakers about one story tall were playing electronic music. i hung out with a couple german guys and a new zealand couple for most of the night. the war has really reduced the amount of people who would normally be here. i got a pretty bad sunburn during the day and eventually decided it was too painful to dance anymore. today i was on my bungalo porch with my notepad, thinking about what i might do with the next few weeks of my life. my mind is on the things i usually think about at home. what projects are worth contributing to or starting. for instance, linux needs a really good, free MMORPG and the personal telco mapping and node building sites.
my return flight is one week from tomorrow. im taking the ferry back to the mainland, then a bus to surritani, then an overnight train to bangkok. Then i'll get a ticket to ayyutaya - i hope.
