im on the big island of Ko Samui off the east coast of the thai pennsula(sp?). Im on my own at the moment. just another day in paradise. ive got a scooter and im gonna buzz the place. hope i dont get lost. its been raining today and yesterday which sucks.

i took the all night bus yesterday from bangkok. its a full side greyhound style cruizer, which was comfy. i sat next to some friendly english girls with heavy accents. during the trip we passed an identical bus that had fallen into a ditch that divides the highway. it was a scarry sight because our own trip in this gargantuan bus was working on the same rules as downtown bangkok. we'd swerve to the left and let an even faster greyhound pass.

the bus left 1.5 hours late and the change of busses left late too. so things are slowing down on this ride. i've got a day counter in my head and wonder if its really better to spend the same money in portland or on a beach here. im gonna try to meet up with two people i met on the bus about snorkeling.
