my birthday day started out with the sound of my housemate yelling at his computer. it got a lot better very quickly. i got a call from seth, and emailed jon. i got a bunch of "happy birthday"s from friends in person at the urban grind coffee shop. I got a call from jenny, which is sweet. my friend brian who rarely calls gave me a call on that day. i spent the afternoon with three good friends in their well heated apartment, enjoying some fine beer. i had dinner with seth at a good indian place. it had "everything but the girl."

Holy Toledo are immunizations expensive. I talked to a person at good sam hospital and if i got the recommented set of shots it'd take 6 months and cost over $500. I have an appointment with the county health clinic tomorrow where i imagine i'll take less than the recommended immunizations. someone at the ops meeting who is an experienced traveler tonight told me i'd probably be sick by the time i got on the plane because of the shots. great.
