I didnt feel comfortable staying

I didnt feel comfortable staying at home so i biked into town. so many ideas today! i do my best thinking while cycling.

why education prevents theft. ive been thinking a lot about money lately, being on the verge of an income. i rode past an armored truck and thought about the situation and mindset one might have to think stealing physical items is a good idea. i thought education reduces this feeling. it gives people more things to own. education widens the quantity and type of things one can own. with ideas, the copying and distrtibution are practically limitless and of no effort. like copying software. its possible people can lust after a certain type of knowledge or covet having a copy of a particular algorithm.

when i got to the steele bridge, it was my reward for making the effort of biking in to town. a 3 engine train was powering up, which is fun to watch and feel the sheer power of that machine. i think non-programmers would not understand but building software systems has the same feeling of building something useful and powerful.

'was grace that taught my heart to fear, and grace my fears releived.' isnt that an abstraction of the situation when a hostage falls in love with the hostage taker? people can feel love as a reaction to a strong emotion. eg. two people surviving the world trade center attack (im sure that phrase up'ed the "carviore ratio" for my blog :). it seems an ill-fated sort of love.

advanced science. Sam is amazing at his dedication to put stuff into dailywireless. its exciting to read about the next-generation underwater travel. the air bubble in the water is suprizing like the warp bubble described in star trek. to summarize: current underwater speeds are 80mph, with this new airbubble transport, its supposed to increase to 240mph. fuel cells are very exciting - imagine LA using huge fuel cells to power the city and create water at the same time. The /. article on the location of the next space station at "L1" is fun too. L1 is 4/5 of the way from the earth to the moon, where the gravitational pull from each body is equal.

time to get off this pioneer square park bench, out of the shining sun of the wifi antenna and into the library where there are fewer distractions.
