i am afraid. afraid to call person X about situation Y. I thought about it and thought about it. I think I came up with an answer. person X is a stranger. I am in a state of internal deprivation. I look for encouragement, validation, and support from every single person I deal with, in every interaction. Read that last line again. That is as appropriate as tounge-kissing everyone I buy groceries from. I dont need to be affirmed in every situation.
