Wow, the node install events have been really really fun. I love working with a team and I love seeing what a team can do. I also love having some control, some input. Wireless ethernet is just one of many computing frontiers, but its a fun one because its easy for people to get involved. Self-organizing network services, multicast irc, and automated service and node discovery are other frontiers :) - too many subjects, too little concentration powers.

aml loaned me a nice hardback copy of Cryptonomicon. I may actually read it. bowlie gave me a b0mb official Bluetooth t-shirt. Ill be sporting it at this wednesday's PTP meeting.

I expected today to be nicer than yesterday! each day the forecast for mon/tue goes down a little. its supposed to be sunny and 60. Im plannign on riding my bike in to chinatown tomorrow - the first day of bike commuting for the year.

the beavertron job interview went well but they hired someone else. I have a Very Cool lead on a java development job - game software that goes inside cable TV boxes! those at&t digital cable boxes run java! Flying Rhino could possibly be a very cool place to work. We'll see how it goes next week.

Im drooing over a Zaurus SL-5500. I want to get one as soon as they come out and I can read a review or two.

Sometimes my thoughts of jobs lead back to Heald - more so since t4r4 and ben's lj entries talk about classroom experiences. I did like teaching, but the lesson plans kicked my butt and i dont think i did a very good job for the students - i was never a good student myself.

Ive managed to reduce the waking hours i spend at klickitat to almost nothing. I dont really like living here. its in the boonies and i feel im missing out on good relationships with roomies that are cool.
